Support and Education Groups for Family Caregivers

Support and education groups are available in Springdale and Bella Vista for family members providing care to a loved one in the home. Caregivers rarely take the time to care for themselves. However, the physical and mental health of the caregiver is the most important factor in the quality of life for both the care recipient and the caregiver.

The Dementia Caregiver and the Family-Centered Caregiving Education and Support Groups bring caregivers together to learn from each other and to create a support network for the caregiver and family. Both groups meet twice monthly at the Schmieding Center and are facilitated by a licensed social worker with geriatric experience.
