 The Schmieding Center for Senior Health and Education, in partnership with University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Donald W. Reynolds Institute on Aging, Arkansas Aging Initiative, Area Health Education Center - Northwest and Northwest Health System, invites you to help the Baby Boomer generation of Northwest Arkansas grasp that the best part of their lives, Peak Aging, is a matter of choice and planning, not chance.
In recognition that nearly a third of America's and Northwest Arkansas' population, the Baby Boomers, are reaching age 60 and their senior years, the Schmieding Center partners have conceived and are producing a two-day community celebration and exhibition entitled Silver Summit: Planning for Peak Aging.
- To change the traditional mindset of aging--it is no longer the way it was for our parents and grandparents
- To demonstrate that Baby Boomers have an added 20-30 years of life that can be lived in good health and filled with fun, productivity and meaning
- To show how we can maximize this new stage of aging by planning for Peak Aging, the highest level of successful aging we can personally achieve
